Hello! We are so happy you want a learn a little more about the people behind the brand. Us! Lucy & Graham. Beach bum, adventuring weirdos that have a penchant for sustainable, minimal design. Quite the combination If we don’t say so ourselves.

We don’t want to say that getting here was a ‘journey’ because cringe...But it kind of was! We discovered our love for thoughtful, considered design on a trip to Japan in 2019. At the time we were both in vastly different industries, Myself working as a full time wedding photographer and Graham running his own motorsport team. Fast forward to March 2020 and like everyone our businesses were hit pretty hard by the pandemic. My career stopped dead over night, and Graham’s although still able to meander on as a garage, inevitably took a very big hit. It was at this time we began to diversify where we could as well as keeping ourselves busy with DIY….You know like everyone else on the planet haha. We spent the pandemic renovating our very first home, (as best we could with the materials available), the enjoyment we got from this encouraged us both to find alternative outlets for our creativity.


I launched my own interior photography company, and Graham began plotting and planning the beginnings of Your Kind Lifestyle as well as fostering his love for wood work. Fast forward to November 2021 and YKL came to fruition. We launched with a bang and had the most amazing festive period. Supported by so many wonderful customers. We are now looking ahead to try and build Your Kind Lifestyle into the unique, inspirational store we know it can be. Featuring lots of incredible artists and creatives.
